Kimberley Ann Deal (born June 10, 1961) is an American musician. She was the original bassist and co-vocalist in the alternative rock band Pixies from 1986 to 1993 and 2004 to 2013, and is the frontwoman of the Breeders , which she formed in 1989.

After their father, Robert Edward Deal, took a job as a physicist at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the couple moved to Dayton, where Kim’s older brother, Kevin, was born, and later she and Kelley came along. In the Deal household, the twins often provided the soundtrack.
Breeders", a gay derogatory slang term for heterosexuals, was chosen because Kim Deal found it humorous and also reflected her love of horror films, specifically referencing David Cronenberg's 1979 film The Brood.
