Bekannt wurde Andy Summers in den späten 1970er und 1980er Jahren als Gitarrist von The Police. Später war er Gastmusiker und zeitgenössischer Instrumental-Musiker .
Summers' years with the Police took its toll on their marriage, however, leading them to divorce in 1981, although they remarried in 1985.
