Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade (* 17. September 1947 in Belo Horizonte; † 29. Mai 2022 in Brasilien [1]) war ein brasilianischer Jurist. Er wirkte von 1995 bis 2008 als Richter am Interamerikanischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte, darunter von 1999 bis 2004 als Präsident.
Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade ( 17 September 1947 – 29 May 2022) was a Brazilian jurist and international judge. He was appointed as judge of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) from 6 February 2009. [1] . He was reelected to the Court in December 2017, and took office for his second term on 6 February 2018, serving until his death in 2022.
