Hannibal Emery Hamlin (* 22. August 1858 in Hampden, Maine; † 6. März 1938 in Bangor, Maine) war ein US-amerikanischer Anwalt und Politiker, der von 1905 bis 1908 Maine Attorney General war. Leben. Hannibal Emery Hamlin wurde als Sohn von Hannibal Hamlin und Ellen Vesta Emery in Hampden geboren.

Hamlin grew up in Bangor, Maine and graduated from Colby College in 1879 and Boston University School of Law in 1882.

As a Jacksonian Democrat who strongly opposed slavery, he served in state government until he was elected to the U.S. Congress in 1843. In the House, he supported the Wilmot Proviso, which would have prohibited slavery from spreading into any territory acquired from Mexico. However, the bill died in the Senate.
