  4. In the late 1950s, Holliday had a long-term relationship with jazz musician Gerry Mulligan. Holliday supported Henry Wallace in the 1948 presidential election and Adlai Stevenson during the 1952 presidential election. In 1960, she was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6901 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
