Founded in 1946 and through 66 years of development and as a result of consecutive merging of six institutions of higher education, Jilin University has been moulded into the largest comprehensive university in China in terms of its student enrollment, which is strongly supported by state key projects such as “211 Project” and “985 Project”.
Jilin University is a national key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, located in Changchun City, Jilin Province. The school was founded in 1946 and was listed as a national key university in 1960. In 1984, it became one of the first 22 universities to establish a graduate school.
