Laurence Cottle (born 16 December 1961) is a Welsh bass guitarist and composer. Career. His solo recordings have been mostly in jazz and jazz fusion. He was a member of the fusion quartet The Fents and appeared on their second album, The Other Side, released on the Passport Jazz label in 1987.

Headless Cross wurde im Zeitraum August bis November 1988 aufgenommen. Als Bassist war Laurence Cottle bei den Aufnahmen engagiert und ist auch im Videoclip zum Titelsong zu sehen. Allerdings wurde Cottle kurze Zeit darauf durch Neil Murray für die anschließende Tour ersetzt.

Laurence Cottle. Biography. Articles. Born in Swansea, into a musical and theatrical family, Cottle was one of three brothers who helped their father (a pianist) in his variety act. “We were all encouraged to play the piano,” he continues, “and also to take up a second musical instrument.”
