The mourning dove is a medium-sized, slender dove approximately 31 cm (12 in) in length. Mourning doves weigh 112–170 g (4.0–6.0 oz), usually closer to 128 g (4.5 oz). [26] The mourning dove has a wingspan of 37–45 cm. [27] The elliptical wings are broad, and the head is rounded.

2. März 2007 · And Mournin' Variations is a delicate, classically graceful woodwind ensemble that turns into a squealing-brass groover, fired by Victor Lewis's drums and Billy Harper's guttural tenor sax....
The most intriguing track to me is “Mournin’ Variations”, which closes the album. It consists of alternating mournful string passages and intense big band statements ,which bracket a manic tenor solo by George Coleman.
