Die Popmusik-Landschaft der 90er bestand größtenteils aus Boybands und um zwischen all den Milchgesichtern hervorzustechen, überlegte sich Musikmanager Garry Wilson 1992 etwas ganz Besonderes: Er castete Tausend Bewerber, um in London eine multikulturelle Boyband zusammenzustellen. Mit Songs wie „Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel“, „Wonderful World“ und „Everlasting Love“ sichern sich die fünf Jungs Chartplätze. Nach den ersten Erfolgen jedoch verlässt zunächst Patric Osbourne und später auch Dan Bowyer und Aaron Poole die Band. An ihre Stelle treten Cal Cooper und das ehemalige Brother Beyond- Mitglied Nathan Moore.
Sein richtiger Name ist „Marcus Patrick“. Das einstige Boygroup-Mitglied ist als Schauspieler und Model aktiv.
Während Worlds Apart in Großbritannien kaum Beachtung findet, feiern die vier Jungs Mitte der Neunziger in Frankreich und Deutschland mit den Songs „Baby Come Back“ und „Je Te Donne“ große Erfolge. 1997 kehrt auch Schelim Hannan der Boygroup den Rücken und wird durch Tim Fornara ersetzt.
Ende der Neunziger verschwand die Band in der Versenkung und startete 2000 einen Comeback-Versuch, allerdings konnte die Gruppe nicht an frühere Erfolge anknüpfen.
