Isham Jones in 1922. In 1917, he composed the tune "We're in the Army Now" (also known as "You're in the Army Now") when the United States entered World War I. Isham Jones [1] (* 31. Januar 1894 in Coalton, Ohio; † 19. Oktober 1956 in Hollywood, Florida) war ein amerikanischer Big-Band-Leader, Multi-Instrumentalist und Songwriter -Komponist von Tanzmusik in den 1920er und 1930er Jahren.

Isham Jones (January 31, 1894 – October 19, 1956) led one of the finest dance bands of the 1920s and wrote many hits, notably “ It Had To Be You ,” “ I’ll See You In My Dreams ,” ” Swingin’ Down the Lane ,” and “ The One I Love Belongs to Somebody Else. He was born in Coalton, Ohio, but grew up in Saginaw, Michigan.
