Soon thereafter, Graham Franklin and Pulzer left the band to pursue other musical interests. Growing tired of the local scene, the group had decided to head to London, and there they met drummer and Edinburgh-native Graham Bonnar, formerly of the post-punk band The Shattered Family. [5]
Relocating from Oxford to London, guitarists Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge, bassist Adi Vines and drummer Graham Bonnar debuted with a series of landmark Creation Records EPs, Son of Mustang Ford, Rave Down, and Sandblasted.

25. Juli 2023 · Releasing this masterpiece debut album in September 1991, Swervedriver put themselves up against the fierce competition exerted by My Bloody Valentine’s Loveless, Slowdive’s Just for a Day, Chapterhouse’s Whirlpool and Blur’s Leisure.
That was Graham Bonnar. Paddy was the very first drummer. We were in a band called The Splatter Babies. And then Shake Appeal came out of that and my brother and Jimmy Hartridge were in a band called The Roadrunners which was doing this Pretty Things/Rolling Stones-type thing, just R&B really.
