Kenneth Lynch, OBE (18 March 1938 – 18 December 2019) [1] was an English singer, songwriter, entertainer, and actor. He appeared in many variety shows in the 1960s. At the time, he was among the few black singers in British pop music. [2] He was appointed an OBE in the 1970 New Year Honours list.

Kenny Lynch, who died of prostate cancer aged 81, was a black British singer, songwriter and actor who was a familiar face at the light entertainment end of TV. He recorded the first Lennon-McCartney song, wrote hits for The Small Faces, and appeared in films and shows with Jimmy Tarbuck and others.
