Elkie Brooks (* 25. Februar 1945 in Salford, [1] England, eigentlich Elaine Bookbinder) ist eine britische Sängerin und früheres Mitglied der R&B - Band Vinegar Joe, danach war sie als Solokünstlerin hauptsächlich in Großbritannien erfolgreich.

Die Sängerin Elkie Brooks aus England begann ihre Plattenkarriere bereits als Teenager. Für die DECCA nahm sie den von Etta James stammenden Titel „Something´s Got a Hold on Me“ auf. Nach einigen Jahren in der Jazz - und Soulszene Englands gehörte sie der Jazzrock-Band „Dada“ an, die allerdings weder Erfolg noch langen Bestand hatte.
